We are so excited that Sheila has a chapter published in this amazing book, edited by Renée Emunah, Susana Pendzik and David Read Johnson! The book is a celebration of Renée’s creation of Self-Revelatory Performance—a cross between theater and therapy. Sheila's chapter, called “Embodied Life Stories: Transforming Shame Through Self-Revelatory Performance” is the culmination of her experience directing others’ self-revelatory performances as well as her own.

Renee Emunah, co-editor of The Self in Performance and Director of the CIIS Drama Therapy Dept., will be there as well as Armand Volkas, Director of Living Arts Counseling Center, who wrote a chapter in the book called “Autobiographical Therapeutic Performance as Individual Therapy” and who writes about healing the wounds of history through story.
