As licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida, I am an Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapist, Level 2, and a Healing Shame Practitioner. I work with issues of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and shame. Being a faith-based therapist, I understand and create safety, as I incorporate their beliefs into our work together. I originally attended Bret and Sheila’s courses because of my own experience of shame. Their method of moving in and out of different realms of human functioning intrigued me. As I began to learn their system, I found my own shame decreased, and I developed more compassion, confidence, and courage.

Since people generally form their concept of God through their experience with their earthly father, it makes sense that they experience ongoing difficulties in their relationships, work, and family life. Many of these individuals grew up in dysfunctional families or in homes where intergenerational trauma was transferred unintentionally to their children. These familial patterns of neglect, abuse, abandonment or addiction engender deep, painful wounds, including the intense pain of shame. I am happy to support you as you navigate these painful emotions of being alone, transforming the pain, leading toward a happier, healthier, fuller life.
