Using Interpersonal Skills to Heal Shame —
Undoing Aloneness and Building Attachment
Recorded Workshop
Congratulations on registering for our recorded Healing Shame workshop!
This workshop is a carefully edited version of one of our live, interactive online workshops.
We hope that you will find the workshop both compelling and helpful, both personally and professionally. We also hope that it supports you in your journey toward greater understanding and ability to work with shame, both for yourself and your clients. We present many workshops on different aspects of working with shame. You can find out about them on our Schedule page.
Course Structure
The recorded Using Interpersonal Skills to Heal Shame workshop consists of four video classes. You can expect to spend approximately 12 hours on this workshop, including the breakout room exercises that you can do on your own.
For Those Not Seeking CE Credit or Possible Certification
For those who do not need CE credit or an Hours of Attendance certificate and who are not in (or considering) our Practitioner Certification Program, we do strongly encourage you to write and submit papers (as described below) as a means of engaging with the course more deeply and fostering your individual learning.
CE Credit
12 hours of CE credit for this recorded workshop is available ONLY for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs in California – CAMFT approved CE provider #134393.
Please note that the number of CE credits for the workshop includes both video time and exercise/practice time.
For details about CE credit, click here.
Requirements for Course Credit
Completion of the following requirements is necessary to receive full course credit for a workshop and to have it marked as “complete” on your record of attendance. If these requirements are not completed, then the workshop will be noted as “incomplete,” and you will not be eligible to receive an Hours of Attendance certificate or CE credit and the workshop will not count towards Healing Shame Practitioner certification.
Watch/listen to the recording of the workshop.
Write and submit a two-page paper after you complete each class.
For each of the four video classes, write and submit a paper (two-page minimum) describing what you learned and how it affected you.
The paper should be personal, not academic. The paper should contain your reflections on the main concepts of the class, demonstrating that you have watched the recording of the class and understood the concepts presented. You should discuss one or two of these concepts in greater detail, demonstrating your understanding of the topic(s) by using examples from your own professional and/or personal life.
An important aspect of this paper is your ability to integrate your personal realizations with the material discussed in the class, so please take that into consideration.
Please note that if your paper lacks sufficient coverage or understanding of the class material, you may be asked to rewrite and resubmit it in order to receive credit.
Title your paper: Please make sure your name, the name of the workshop (Recorded Interpersonal Skills), and the class you are submitting the paper for (#1, #2, #3 or #4) are in the title of the paper.
Email your paper to Elizabeth Davidge at edhealingshame@gmail.com.
Papers should be submitted after completion of each class. Please do not submit them all at once or wait until you have completed the entire workshop.
Complete and submit the course evaluation form after you finish the workshop.
Submit all course materials to us by the deadline — six months from the date of purchase.
