Working in the banking industry on my way toward financial independence, my bank account steadily grew, but my emotional account was nearing a distress level. That realization led me to redirect my life on a new path — one focused on relationships rather than money.

I became a Gestalt therapist, and toward the end of my training, I discovered the world of shame. I was struck by how something so powerful could be so overlooked and underestimated. Today, I am both a certified Gestalt therapist and a Healing Shame practitioner.

I believe in the healing power of feeling safe as oneself in the presence of someone who does not judge, and that this is a deeply human need we all share. For various reasons, many of us have come to believe it’s risky to show certain parts of ourselves. Because our wounds and struggles arise in relationship — it is in relationship that they need to be healed. In the saftey of a guided therapeutic experience, we can explore and make sense of what has been hidden under shame with a chance to see those experiences more clearly and unpack the shame that unconsciously binds you from greater expression and happiness.
